The lamp itself functions. The light turns on. The only issue with this lamp is that the Disney princesses are supposed to twirl around when the switch is flicked. They start to rotate and then stop. I think a gear needs to be fixed or adjusted, but I'm not quite sure why it won't cycle thru. It has sound too, but like I said, the princesses DO NOT cycle thru the song and twirl. Overall, the lamp still serves its purpose as a working light, but the motion aspect of it needs fixed. All Disney princesses are in perfect shape, no cracks, chips, or breaks. Lamp shade is in great shape as well. Wonderful gift idea for any princess collector. Again, if you don't mind not having the music and movement of the lamp, this is perfect as it sits for you!!! Will ship with care and comes with original shade too!!!
