Large 1920's era antique pewter bowl with pedestal, measuring 12.5 inches in diameter, 4.5 inches tall. Bottom is marked "Made in Thailand, 95% real pewter, not for food consumption".
This is a very well-made, heavy bowl, weighing in at 6 pounds. Beautiful patina. Ornate handles are in excellent condition. Minor surface scratching on inside of bowl. Beautiful in foyer, or on a sofa table or dining room sideboard. Makes an elegant bread bowl when lined with a cloth napkin. Wonderful centerpiece on dining or bridal table. Have seen them used for baptisms.
