Antique American Brilliant Cut Glass (ABCG) shallow leaded crystal bowl with flowers. This stunning piece of crystal was made sometime during the ABCG period of 1876-1914. The bowl has a gorgeous scalloped sawtooth edge and an elegant shallow curve to the sides. It is decorated on the exterior with deep cut leaves and highly detailed wire-wheel engraved flowers. In the center of each flower is an expertly cut, intricate hobstar. This piece is quite heavy and has deep cuts for maximum reflection. It is a truly beautiful piece!
The bowl is in good antique condition. Two of the sawtooth points are missing their tips and there is some chipping around the base of the sawtooth edges. These flaws are not immediately noticeable and the bowl is still gorgeous and very usable! If you need additional pictures, please feel free to ask.
It measures approximately 8" diameter x 1.75" high x 1.5" deep.
